SinceVision Launches SH8 Series 1.1 million FPS Ultra-High-Speed Camera at VISION 2026
On October 7, 2026, SinceVision officially launched the SH8 Series ultra-high-speed camera at the VISION 2026 expo in Stuttgart, Germany. Engineered for aerospace testing, material science, and micro-engineering, the SH8 Series resolves photon starvation in transient event analysis using a 20 μm back-illuminated (BSI) sensor. Core capabilities include a maximum capture rate of 1.1 million frames per second, continuous 30,000 fps at 1280×1024 resolution, a 250 nm to 1050 nm extended spectral range, and up to 15.36TB of hot-swappable non-volatile storage.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
STUTTGART, Germany — October 7, 2026 — SinceVision, a manufacturer of industrial vision, industrial sensors, and scientific cameras has officially launched the SH8 Series ultra-high-speed camera at VISION 2026, delivering continuous 1.1 million fps recording capabilities for scientific research, and advanced process engineering. Engineered to eliminate photon starvation in extreme transient imaging, the SH8 Series integrates a 20 μm back-illuminated (BSI) image sensor to capture rapid mechanical phenomena with high signal integrity.
The new high-speed camera is available immediately for the international market and is demonstrating live at Messe Stuttgart in Hall 8, Booth 8A30.

Engineering for Extreme Transient Events
"We built the SH8 series to eliminate the compromises researchers face in extreme transient events," said Ethan Fu, Product Manager of High-Speed Camera at SinceVision. "Traditional sensors often encounter obstacles in application scenarios in low light and ultraviolet bands. SH8 breaks this limit.
The selected image sensor adopts BSI process, has a large pixel size of 20um, its wavelength response range can reach 250 nm to 1050 nm, and its peak quantum efficiency can exceed 85%. In Binning mode, camera parameters can support up to 640×512@120,000FPS to capture previously unobservable content."
By relocating the metal interconnect layer to the rear of the photosensitive layer, light reaches the photodiodes directly. This structural optimization drastically improves incident photon capture efficiency, resulting in a phenomenal increase in equivalent sensitivity which is a critical requirement in high-speed, low-light testing environments.

Advanced 2×2 Pixel Binning Mode
To capture the fastest-moving moments in challenging lighting, the SH8 Series features a 2×2 pixel binning mode. By combining four adjacent pixels into a single readout, the camera achieves 120,000 fps at 640×512 resolution. This quadruples the light-sensing area, significantly boosting the signal-to-noise ratio and delivering brighter, cleaner images without noise artifacts.
