CROSS OVER TECH TECHNICAL SEMINAR 2026: Explore 3D Laser Profiler Applications with SinceVision
SinceVision and CROSS OVER TECH invite engineers, system integrators, and quality specialists to a technical seminar on May 27, 2026 at Coex, Seoul, featuring live demonstrations of 3D laser profilers.
SEOUL, South Korea – May 14, 2026 – SinceVision, a manufacturer of industrial sensors and scientific imaging technology, will power the CROSS OVER TECH TECHNICAL SEMINAR on May 27, 2026, at Coex in Seoul. Hosted by CROSS OVER TECH, this one-day event brings together engineers, quality managers, and production specialists to explore practical applications of 3D laser profilers in electronics and battery manufacturing.
The seminar will take place in Conference Room (South) 3F, Room 300, from 10:00 AM to 2:40 PM. Attendance is free, and on-site sample testing will be available for attendees who bring their own sample parts.
Why 3D laser profiling matters in Korea's manufacturing sector
South Korea remains a global hub for consumer electronics, semiconductor, lithium battery, and automotive component production. As product designs become smaller an quality standards tighter, traditional 2D inspection often misses subtle height variations and surface defects.
A 3D laser profiler solves this by capturing millions of height points across a surface in real time, allowing manufacturers to detect flaws like insufficient solder, uneven glue beads, or deformed solder balls with micron-level accuracy.
At this seminar, CROSS OVER TECH will show how SinceVision's sensors work in practice. The emphasis is not on theory. It is on real-world examples and live demonstrations.
Applications on display: real problems, proven solutions
Three specific inspection challenges will be presented. For each, the problem is described plainly, followed by the solution the 3D profiler provides.
1. Top Cover Post-welding Quality Inspection
Laser welding seals battery cells after shell insertion, but fluctuations in laser power directly affect weld quality, creating risks of liquid leakage and cell failure. Detecting pit defects, explosion points, and incomplete welds across long, short, and R-angle weld beads demands both surface accuracy and brightness data simultaneously on a high-speed line by 3D Laser Profiler.
Solutions: SR8060H
2. Glue Path Inspection for Mid-frame and Screen Bonding
In mobile phone assembly, poor glue bonding during mid-frame and screen joining directly compromises waterproofing and drop resistance. Inspecting glue paths across multiple positions requires detecting defects like glue breakage, creeping, and uneven edge distance on a fast-moving production line, while maintaining consistent imaging on high-gloss or transparent glue surfaces.
Solutions: SRI8020
3. Ball Grid Array (BGA) chip inspection
BGA packages connect chips to circuit boards through tiny solder balls. As chips get smaller and more complex, even minor inconsistencies in solder ball height or flatness can cause poor electrical connections and field failures. Missing, deformed, or misaligned balls are difficult to spot with traditional optical inspection.
Solutions: SR8000 Series
Live demonstrations and hands-on testing
INTAE OH, CEO of CROSS OVER TECH, will lead the presentation and share practical insights on selecting the right 3D sensor for specific tasks. He will also run live demos of the 3D laser profiler, showing how it handles the three featured applications in real time.
Attendees are invited to bring their own samples for on-site testing. The SinceVision and CROSS OVER TECH sales and support teams will be available throughout the seminar to discuss individual requirements and explore industrial solutions tailored to specific production environments.
