This application demonstrates how the SRI8060 3D Laser Profiler restores the shape of connector pin tips to reliably identify missing, broken, and crooked pins before product insertion.

Purpose:

By restoring the shape of the pin top, it is possible to identify missing pins, broken pins, and crooked pins, preventing pin collisions during automotive product insertion.

 

Solution: 3D Laser Profiler for Automotive Inspection

Using the integrated SRI8060 3D Laser Profiler, mounted in a mirror angle configuration, scan the deep frame opening area.

 

Advantages: 

  1. Achieves height difference repeatability accuracy of 0.015mm, speed of 124mm/s, and completes detection in 1.5s

  2. Mirror angle mounting minimizes obstruction from triangular blind spots

  3. 3200 dots are densely arranged to ensure clear reproduction of the fine needle tip
