SinceVision at ITE 2025: Solving Semiconductor and EV Battery Inspection with Advanced Sensing

The 47th International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment (ITE 2025) wrapped up at PACIFICO Yokohama. It confirmed its position as Japan's top event for machine vision and image processing. SinceVision found the exhibition to be a vital platform. It showcased how advanced 3D metrology and high-speed imaging meet the quality control needs of Japan and the Asia-Pacific markets.

ITE 2025 focused on key themes. It highlighted the need for high-speed and high-accuracy sensing in robotics, smart factories, and advanced fields like semiconductors and electric vehicle (EV) batteries. SinceVision’s technology stands out in these areas.

Booth Highlights: From Concept to Inline Reality

At Booth 78, our focus was strictly on solving real-world production challenges. Visitors experienced five live demonstrations that turned technical specifications into actionable results:

Semiconductor Precision: The SE1 Through-Beam Edge Sensor aligns wafers accurately. The SCI01045 confocal displacement sensor checks wafer thickness without contact. Together, they create a smooth, multi-sensor solution for sensitive microelectronics production.

Zero-Defect Electronics: Live demos featured the SR7060D 3D laser profiler for inspecting PCB solder joints. They also highlighted the SR8010 for detecting BGA solder ball height. These tools showed how micron-level accuracy spots defects in high-density electronic assemblies. This helps prevent costly component failures.

Automotive & Battery Integrity: The SRI8062 showed strong performance in Welding and Step Gap Inspection. This is vital for maintaining the structural integrity of future EV battery top-covers. The SR9060 3D laser profiler accurately inspected automotive gears. It verified their dimensions before final assembly.

These demonstrations showed how versatile and fast Industry 4.0 can be. They applied this to automotive, semiconductor, and lithium battery manufacturing.

Technology Deep Dive: The Foundation of Accuracy

Along with the live applications, we displayed six main laser displacement sensor series. This includes the SCI04025, SGI080, and SD series. Visitors and experts saw the key parts that make distance measurement quick and consistent. This sensor portfolio is key for precise measurements in Japan's specialized manufacturing. It ensures quality assurance.

Looking Ahead: The ITE 2025 Impact

ITE 2025 showed a clear trend: 2D inspection is outdated for today’s electronics and component manufacturing. The shift toward 3D metrology and high-speed multi-sensor fusion is inevitable.

We extend our sincere thanks to all the engineers, integrators, and industry leaders who visited Booth 78. Visitors engagement highlighted the global need for quick, dependable, and precise inspection tools. SinceVision aims to boost our presence in Japan and the Asia-Pacific. We want to drive innovation with our global partners, like Apple, Tesla, Samsung, and CATL.
